Viewing a Time Card - Employee
How to get to this page: Login >
Click View Time Card
The time card allows you to view your time entries for a pay period. You can toggle the view to show just the current week. Pay periods can be weekly, bi-weekly,
semi-monthly, or monthly depending onyour company's pay policies. If the time card
is in Week view the button will display Pay Period View. If the time card
is in Pay Period view, the button is labeled Week view.
There are three types of time cards
-
Punch - You use a time clock or the Webclock feature on the web to enter date/time transactions, and you can view the transactions on the time card. Employees on Punch time cards are typically unable to add, edit, or delete punches on the time card.
-
In/Out - This type is similar in design to the Punch time card, but you enter your own date/time transaction directly on the time card.
-
Hours Entry - Rather than enter date/time transactions, you enter the total hours you worked on a particular day in the pay period.
Each of these time cards can track the department and/or position in which you worked for the time period. You can be assigned a default department/position, and you can change department/position by entering a Transfer. For Punch and In/Out time cards, a transfer creates an Out punch to complete the time segment for he first department/position and adds an In punch for the new assignment. On the Hours Entry time card, you create a new row on that day and assign the new department/position to the hours worked there.
When you Save the time card, the system calculates the total hours reported against each pay type (REG, VAC, etc.) and against each transfer and presents those hours below the time entry section. Overtime pay is also calculated according to your company's OT rules.
Additional features of your time card include:
- Clicking on the Time
Sheet Report button allows you to print the
Employee Time Sheet Report directly from the Time Card screen. When the
time card is viewed by week, the Employee Time Sheet report is printed
for the week, and when the time card is viewed by pay period, it is printed for the pay period.
- Sections of the time card:

The ACC HRS line on the time card displays worked hours accrued over the threshold and thereby not paid. The threshold is set by the configuration of the overtime rule.
Approvals

employee approval.
-
Emp App: If employee approval is required
per your system configuration, employees are granted read-only access
to their time cards; they log in, review their time card, and approve
the time card by checking this box.
-
Spr App: If supervisor approval is required
per your system configuration, the supervisor must select this check box
to approve the time card. Both check boxes (if activated) must be selected
before payroll can be processed for the pay period.
